Tetris Ball

Those tiny black stitches running between 96 individual leather panels are what stop you cold. Jon-Paul is on a league of his own as an artist: where a match ball uses 8 to 32 panels, he's engineering 96 Tetris pieces across a sphere (serious math involved). When I worked at Sorare, we had partnerships with almost every league you can think of: the Premier League, La Liga, and the NBA, and hung official balls around the office like trophies — none of them had this kind of presence or craft. This is the kind of object that makes you want to hold it, not display it. I love Jon-Paul's (⚽️) balls.
