Nicholas Alahverdian

I've been following Kristian Hammerstad’s work since I came across one of his illustration on The Economist years ago. Hammerstad has a sophisticated blend of Silver Age comic book aesthetics (think Jack Kirby) and modern indie graphic novel grit (think Daniel Clowes). This piece just nails the balance of those styles with organic hand-drawn linework but vibrant and richly saturated digital coloring.
